→ Delfina

Brought together by the passion for guitars, music and Beauty, a Luthier (Daniel Garfo), Master woodworker (Marco Gonçalves) and a Designer (João Brandão) get together to make this project a reality.

Daniel Garfo and Marco Gonçalves are part of a new generation of luthiers that understand clearly how aspects of the woodworking and soundboard bracing, have a clear impact on the resulting sound. The capability to manipulate and predict highs and lows of the sound, allied to design and aesthetics, allows us to create world class guitars.

→ Team and workshop

Everyday at the workshop is Daniel Garfo the master Luthier, Marco Gonçalves the expert woodcrafter and David Almeida the apprentice, that already knows a lot!

The Workshop is at the heart of Alentejo Portugal, in the beautiful countryside decorated with olive and cork trees, sheep and a diversity of other wildlife.

Portugal has a huge tradition in guitar making. We have multiple types of guitars that are specific to Portugal: guitarra portuguesa, guitarra campaniça, guitarra beirã, cavaquinho, just to name a few. And don’t forget that the first guitars know to exist were invented in Portugal in the 1500’s by Belchior Dias Vihuela from Lisbon, and the oldest guitar book know was dedicated to King John III of Portugal.  It was During the portuguese discoveries that the guitar was spread out to the world.
